In
an e-mail dated 4/18/2006 Dave Smith wrote, referring to the
45th reunion:
I
will not be able to be there this weekend. We have had plans
for a long while that cannot be changed. I will miss seeing
everyone. It seems like the last few reunions have been when
we can’t make it. We just returned from taking care of
Dad’s property in North Carolina for a couple of weeks.
After we check on Dad and take care of his needs, we are off
again to a wedding of a good friends daughter.
Here is the latest from me.
I
retired last summer from practicing dentistry at the same location
for 33 years. Jan, my wife of soon to be 38 years of marriage,
still teaches art at Leesburg High School. My oldest daughter,
Amy, lives in Atlanta with her husband, Tucker and her two children,
Jarrett (age 3) and Kiera (age 2). Erin, my younger daughter,
lives in Charlotte with her husband, Danny and Toby, their golden
retriever. Last summer we moved my parents into assisted living
here in Leesburg. My mom passed away in February and I still
am taking care of my father. So in spite of being retired I
am busy.
All
in all Jan and I are doing well.
