In
commemoration of the 48th anniversary of the founding of Boy
Scouts, the Mayor of Winter Park and his officials turned the
city over to a selected group of Boy Scouts from Troop 39 on
February 12.
Chan
Muller acted as Mayor, Chip Schram as City Manager. Police Chief
was taken over by Bob Shifalo and Pidge Clark acted as Fire
Chief.
Others
taking part in the event were Jim Bruton, Jeff Arnold, Jim Hamilton,
John Boje, Bill Parsons, Mike Kelley, Jim Rich, Craig Distelhorse,
Bob Bisshoff and Bob Fox.
This
honor was not bestowed on the Scouts just because of their anniver-sary,
but because Winter Park wants its youth to understand how the
city government is run.
