Connie Shoup Hudson, Mary Carter Laval
and I met in Atlanta Saturday afternoon at the home of Mary's daughter.
Mary had come up from Boca Raton for her granddaughter's birthday,
so we decided to meet and catch up. Connie and Mary hadn't seen each
other in 40 years. (Connie wore Mary's wedding gown when she got married.
She brought the portrait along for us all to see.) I had seen Mary
at the 40th class reunion.
We shared pictures of the kids and grandkids
over sodas, and caught up on many years of life. It was great! Then
we went to the Horseradish Grill, a unique dining experience. We "dined"
for over 2 hours, then went back to the house. I brought my entire
line of custom designed jewelry that I make (semi-precious and one
of a kind), and we all enjoyed making selections.
Isn't it amazing that friends can pick
up where you left off 40 years ago, and comfortably catch up! Amazing.
