Off To Attend Forum - Members
of the Latin Club of Winter Park High School, wearing togas, await the
train which will take them to Bradenton where they will attend a two-day
State Latin Forum. In the group are (left to right) Tom Bayston, John

Nine
of the members of the Latin Club at WPHS took a trip recently to Bradenton,
Florida for the annual State Latin Forum.
They were joined there by students from all over the State
of Florida for the purpose of electing next years state officers and to
meet students from all around.
The weekend was filled with all sorts of activities such
as a dance and movie (Helen of Troy) on Friday night and election of officers
on Saturday. The officers were elected by the votes of three delegates from
each school Winter Park was very fortunate to have Rita Dunn elected State
Treasurer. Also in the competitory speaking Max Morris took a third place.
Other students from WPHS to attend the Forum were Seniors
Linda Merhill, George Fisher and Buddy Kirk. Juniors were Diann Miller and
Jerome Buzelli. John Kluge and Tom Baston were the two sophomores to attend
the meeting.
