Has anyone heard from the Cummings twins, Sharon and Sheila? I know that  Sheila and her husband moved many years ago somewhere up north and adopted  a little girl. I don't know if they are still there or not. Sharon  remarried and moved to Daytona Beach and I think she has 3 children. I  lost track of them when we loved to Texas.
I was thinking about Doug Stroup and was wondering if anyone has heard from him. I saw him 27 years ago when he had an apartment in the Langford  hotel, and was getting ready to move. I think he is still in Winter Park.
The company I was working for went under after Sept. 11th. They build the  high dollar  homes and did not have enough working capitol to hang on until the economy  picked up. So, I am at home and catching up on things I needed to do.
It is so cold here....10 degrees this morning and 1/2 inches of sleet and  snow on the ground. This is very unusual for March because we usually get  most of our bad weather in December and never in March. There is nothing  like walking out to feed the animals when the wind chill is 4 degrees. On  these days I sometimes wished we didn't have so many animals. We have  doves, chickens, horses, dogs, cats, cockatiels, a hedgehog, a rabbit, and  a guinypig. Most of them were abused, dropped off or neglected when we  took them in. We sold our cows 2 years ago when the drought was so bad we  could barely find hay for them to eat. That was a very sad day when we  took them to the Livestock Sale Commission. Our latest addition is a  darling Australian Sheppard puppy who was dropped off in our yard in the  middle of the night two weeks ago. He is 3 months old, the color of  sunshine with the lightest blue eyes I have ever seen. Needless to say we  fell in love with him and our other dogs have really taken him in. He was  really in bad shape when I found him on our porch at 5:30 am two weeks ago,  but he is doing terrific now.
Don is building a fire in the fireplace, so I will go and make some hot  chocolate. Please feel free to pass this along.
Take care and write again soon.
