Wonderful to see Lynn Ricks (Peters)! Not to miss a 'reunion' with old friends.
She and husband David are moving to Houston, Texas. Hopefully they will be

Subject: Great to see you all !

Dear friends:
It was so sweet to taste those old friendships again. So many years. . . .There must be something really special about the old Class of '61 that allows us to maintain friendships with such little contact for over FOUR DECADES ! ! ! It's pretty incredible!!
Jeannie (Jones) Russell, you are such an inspiration!!! We are all in awe of your strength and courage. The peace that surrounds you is palpable, and you make us all proud to be called your friends. We are so happy that you made the extreme effort to be a part of this reunion.
Mary (Carter) Ricks, you are a walking miracle! I hope you will forgive us all for lack of support during your battle with breast cancer. Just so you'll know, the next Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure David and I take part in, we will walk in honor of YOU!
Mary (Sheldon) Craft, you are hysterical!!! I remember you as having a great personality, but now you are, as I said, HYSTERICAL!!! Your comments at the end of the day to Jeannie were so uplifting and poignant -- and I doubt there was a dry eye in the crowd.
There were two people with us who came totally out of love for our Jeannie Jones Russell. Jeannie's brother-in-law, Steve Hendricks (sister Joyce’s husband) and Steve’s sister, Lynne Kindi, who is one of Lynne Ricks Peters’ closest Atlanta friends of about 20 years – long before they knew that Lynne (Kindi's) brother was married to Jeannie Jones’ sister!!! (Joyce could not attend with Jeannie because of an important prior family commitment, so Steve brought her, and Lynne came along to help Steve!) For health reasons, there was just no way for Jeannie to have attended by herself, and Steve and Lynne came to BE a blessing to Jeannie, but it looked to us like THEY were blessed by being with all of us!! They really did enjoy the day, along with everyone else!
And to all the rest of you . . . Jeannie (Williams) Stanley: It's been fun staying in touch (off and on!) with you over the years; Connie (Shoup) Hudson: You are incredible!! I absolutely am in awe of your extraordinary talent. You are GOING places!!! Polly Gouck: I would have known you anywhere -- even after all these years . . . You've hardly changed a bit!! Deanna (Dudley) Kent: It was great seeing you again after forty-THREE years! You look the same, too!! And Dick Bergen, Ronnie Peacock, Larry Fennelly, and OF COURSE, Bill Ronay, it was fabulous seeing all of you again, too. It is so nice that you GUYS made such an effort to make it. That's very special.
To those of you receiving this email but who were unable to attend the reunion, you'll definitely want to make plans to be part of the group next time!!! You really missed out on a treat!
So, now, we all start looking forward to our February get-together! I'm sure Bill and Camille will keep us all informed! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to both of you. Fondly, Lynne & David
