Subject: Bill Black, Spooky Empire, Avenging Angels

I was at the SPOOKY EMPIRE Horror Convention this weekend with John Gotschall, my filmmaking collaborator. We shared an exhibit space sponsored by Blue Herron Films Int'l of Daytona with Jon Provost (Little Timmy on LASSIE). BH is working on the new ASTRO ZOMBIES film. We put up a casting call sheet with sign "WANT TO BE IN A MOVIE?" That really worked and I think we got around a hundred would be actors signed up. Out of that we got one really qualified girl... er, woman... she's fully deployed... who may become our next local leading lady. Hopefully she'll show up for Monday's shoot. The actress we had originally signed for this film backed out Saturday morning (Aarrgh!) but we were able to replace her with a couple others... if THEY show up. Most of talent is driving up from Tampa. Hopefully no rain on Monday. We've signed the irrepressible JOEL WYNKOOP (veteran of over 70 Indie movies) as lead villain in a four picture deal. We've wanted to work with Joel for a long time. It will be a fun shoot! John Gotschall came up with the concept of a series of very short films entitled AVENGING ANGELS. These will be released one a week if we can manage that. The idea is to build up traffic on our site as websites constantly need new material to get fans to keep coming back. John has completely rebuilt the AC Comics website which will now feature several new blog entries each week. These will contain both current and historical material including video (many video clips have already been added to the site). It will be launched next week as soon as we shoot the first AVENGING ANGELS films on Monday.
