"To everyone who posted congratulations this weekend for my induction into the UF Athletics Hall of Fame, I am forever grateful. It was an incredible weekend and especially gratifying for me because Gayle and I had our four daughters, their spouses and our nine beautiful grandchildren all together as we also celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary early! It was truly a memorable time and the memories will last a lifetime! I am also most grateful for my many Gator friends who where there and played such a huge role in whatever success I enjoyed over the years. I stood on the shoulders of many and to those I will always be grateful. The Lord has truly blessed me with the love and support of Gayle, my children and grandchildren and all the friends and colleagues I’ve worked with throughout the years. My cup runneth over!"
