Bill and I had a fabulous trip to Antarctica -- it was so beautiful, so spectacular, so immense, so BLUE, so WHITE, so pristine, so pure!!!! Our ship was a Holland America ship, the ms Veendam. Tourists can go there after this year (2012) -- only for research and education reasons, in groups smaller than 100. No one owns Antarctica, you don't need a passport to go there, but you can leave NO carbon footprint, no smoking, no lights, no noise. It's really quite wonderful! Yes, it was our 7th continent to visit.
