Subject: Trip To Utah
Connie & I took a trip
to Utah, not only did we celebrate our 50th anniversary,
but we also got to visit with our good friends Allen &
Linda Burris.
We arrived in Salt Lake
City on Tuesday Dec 2nd. During our trip there was no snow;
as a matter of fact they had a 60 year record high during
the time we were there. The only snow we got to see was
on the ground from a storm they had at Thanksgiving.
We spent a few days in Salt
Lake City, seeing all the sights, then moved on to Midway
Utah. Allen and Linda put us up in one of their time share
condos. While in Midway we visited Park City, normally a
busy ski resort, but since there was no snow we had the
place all to ourselves.
Lots of nice shops. We managed
to pick up a few Christmas gifts while there. Then we went
to Olympic City, the site of the 2002 Olympics. The next
day which was Thursday we were suppose to go snowmobiling
but since there was no snow we went to Heber City where
we took a train ride, called the Polar Express. Allen &
Linda joined us on Friday night. We went back to Salt Lake
City for dinner and take in all the sights and Christmas
lights.
Saturday we followed Allen
and Linda to there home in Smithfield. Allen and I went
fishing in the afternoon and the ladies went shopping. Allen
was a good host and let me catch the biggest fish, a nice
rainbow trout which we cleaned and had for lunch, the next
two days. Allen and Linda took us sight seeing, we also
got to meet most of their children and grandchildren.
We flew back to Orlando
on Tuesday Dec. the 9th. Attached are a few pictures. Charlie
