What a FINE time we had in Midtown Atlanta at today's Peachtree Food Tours! Out of 57 TripAdvisor reviews, the Tour has 57 Excellents. No Wonder! John, our docent, was perfect! A born storyteller, he gave us the insider's view of his beloved 'hood. We started with what has to be THE BEST DONUT BURGER ever from Cypress Street Pint & Plate, and continued the delicious afternoon with kale noodle salad & peanut bourbon cokes, shrimp & grits, fried green tomatoes, a Georgia Mule, fried chicken/collards/mashed potatoes & blanc de blanc, awesome flourless chocolate cake and specialty coffees, and to take home, some beautiful Asian pastries. The only stop he needs to add is at a realtor's desk for some sales material for condos. We gained a new respect for Midtown and all that is happening there. PFT is an excellent way to get to know the area and enjoy a few of the excellent eateries. We recommend it highly!
