Yesterday with Bill Ronay:

Yesterday was one of those "Special Days" for me. It's not very often you get to spend hours just sitting and talking with an "old friend" of 50+ years - with no distractions. Bill was in fine form - as always! Simply a "Great Guy"!

Bill is like a living history when it comes to Winter Park High School - and especially the Class of 1961. I can't tell you how many times I said - "I never knew that!" - or "you are kidding!". Had no idea he grew up in Winter Park - as very few of us in our class did. Dinner was at a terrific restaurant - which was no surprise given Bill's local knowledge.

Even driving over to Georgia and Bill's (and Camille's of course - but, she was in Wyoming having her own really cool experience) place on Lake Oconee was an easy 3 hour 15 minute trip. Listening to "50's on 5" on SiriusXM made it go quickly - and set the tone for the day. Plus, the trip home was through the country well south of Atlanta and very scenic!
