This picture was taken at a place just 100 feet off the road south of here - where you can just walk in. Most people don’t realize it – but, there are 3 buildings – the store in the picture (fully stocked inside), then 2 cabins with beds all made-up with sheets and blankets. You can spend the night if you want to – no cost – don’t have to tell anyone. Have no idea why the property owner decided to do this – maybe just a really nice guy! Made a good spot for a picture of two really great guys (my father-in-law Jack McLemore and a great friend of his named Jack Smith...they are 91-1/2 and 90 years old, respectively - both WWII veterans) – and me.
