Subject: 70th Birthday Present from Camille to Bill!
One bit of trivia about
the plane. It’s a 1941 WACO actually used in training
during WWII at Pensacola and a couple other Naval Air Stations
in the Southeast for the duration of the war. My dad was
a Gunnery Master Chief Petty Officer, stationed at Pensacola
‘42-‘43, and may very well have flown in this
aircraft and/or used it during preflight training. How cool
is that?
For my 80th Birthday? Hmmmm, hadn’t thought about
it but balloon rides and race cars aren’t completely
out of the question! Nope, vowed to never again jump out
of a perfectly good airplane.
