Subject: Family Vacation

We just got home last night. The "event" was our family get-together in Sunriver, just south of Bend in central Oregon. It's a great place for families, lots to do, over 30 miles of dedicated bike trails, white-water rafting, mountain hikes, tennis, etc. We were there Aug. 2-10.

We have 3 daughters, 4 grandsons, and one granddaughter. Elise and Dante live nearby in Eureka, CA. Jo, Christian, and Julian live in Salt Lake City, and Tracey, Tom, Aidan, Matthew, and Ellie live in Chapel Hill, NC. Like her Dad, Tracey is also a radiologist. Interestingly, my brother Duane and his wife Nan are also radiologists. Can you believe 4 radiologists in one family? The only physician "outlier" is our son-in-law Christian, a psychiatrist.

The folks in the photo are, from left to right, my wife Annette, daughter Elise, me, daughter Jo, son-in-law Christian (the tall one), son-in-law Tom (the short one), daughter Tracey, grandson Aidan, grandson Dante, and in front we have granddaughter Ellie with grandson Julian in front of her, and grandson Matthew in the pink shirt.
