Here is a picture of Bill and me mid-Atlantic Ocean on our recent 14-day transatlantic crossing. We were halfway between the Bahamas and the Azores -- six days out of sight of land. It's very mysterious to be there. This was on April 23, 2010 - It was moderately chilly, and it was quite rough for about three days -- 30-foot seas and swells, but those stabilizers fore and aft kept the ship even and nothing fell off the shelves. In Spain, in Segovia, we nearly froze -- Madrid was delightful and not cold. They said they had been in shorts the week before. In southern Spain (Malaga, Cartagena, it was warm). Azores were rainy and chilly, too. (Julie Baldwin Mason)
