Regina Ann Jones (Russell)

Mrs. Regina Ann Jones Russell, 62, of 117 Lillian Drive, Statesville, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at the Statesville Brian Nursing Center.

She was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Cabarrus County, and was the daughter of the late Sam William Jones and Georgia Lillian Frye Jones. She was a graduate of Winter Park High School, Winter Park, Fla., and had attended DeKalb Tech College in Decatur, Ga.

She was a self-employed artist and was a former member of Western Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Brian D. Richards of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; a sister, Joyce J. Hendricks of Greensboro; her former husband and friend, Dale Richards of Hickory; a niece, Stephanie Plain; and nephews, John S. Hendricks, Jeff W. Hendricks and Chris K. Hendricks.

Memorial funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004, in Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James D. Cartin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service hour from 10 until 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.

Dear Anne,

I just e-mailed Bill R. that Jeannie passed away Mon. morning about 5am. She was not in pain and died in her sleep. She had made peace with her Lord and called her son to share things that were on her heart. I think she knew her time was near. I was able to spend Tues.-Fri. with her and I am so grateful for our time together.

Funeral services are at Nicholson Funeral Home, 135 East Front Street, Statesville, NC 28677 Phone: 1-704-872-5287 We will meet with family and friends at 10:00am then the service is at 11am. We miss her.

Thank you and all her classmates that have shown such love and concern over the past several years. Thank you all also for all the prayers and letters.

Dear Classmates:

Sorrowfully, I am writing to let you know that Jeannie Jones passed away
yesterday morning at 5:00 am. She died peacefully in her sleep after a long
illness. Her family and doctors were all amazed that she lived and fought
as long as she did.

Her body will be cremated and a memorial service will take place on Thursday
at the Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville, North Carolina. If you wish,
the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of
flowers.

We all have sweet memories of Jeannie. And I am sure her sister, Joyce,
would love to hear from many of you.
