Julius Mullins whereabouts solved...

After locating next of kin in Sebring, Florida and making a few telephone calls to the VFW and local libraries in Alaska, I am attaching a couple of documents which will resolve the mystery of whatever happened to Julius T. Mullins.

Apparently Julius died 1 Nov 1979 in Fairbanks, Alaska. A close relative told me he died of a heart attack which is surprising considering how athletic Julius was when I knew him at WPHS. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 302 in Fairbanks and so was probably working on the Alaska pipeline project.

The first attachment is a copy of his headstone at his final resting spot in the Veterans Section of the Northern Lights Memorial Cemetery in Fairbanks.

The other attachment is of an obituary that appeared on Nov 5 in the local newspaper, Fairbanks News Miner.
