THE  'CAT'S  MEOW

   The school's really been buzzing these past few weeks. Everybody's been partying.
   Several weeks ago the Junior Class held a "Toast to the Team" dance. The couples danced under a decor of orange and black. Some of those having a great time were C. Matthews and C. Hall, R. Myers and M. McCanna, A. Fesus and M. Grove, G. Holland and T. Sewyers, P. Mudd and M. Goldman, P. Spangler and M.A. Brown, S. King and N. Collins, and many more.
   Tommy Morris had a Bar-B-Que and dance for members of the football team and cheerleaders. The coaches were also invited. Mrs. and Mrs. Orr, Mr. Gordon and his financee, Mrs. Perkins, Coach Mosher, C. Washburn and J. Broyles, J. Pascoe and C. McKinney, D. Morgan and T. Cobb, A. Pughe and J. Duckworth, J. Thompson and J. Reding, L. L. Smith and W. Baker, T. Morris and L. Bussells, P. Jacobs and M. Dieming, and many more.
   Ford Duane had a small session at his house over the Thanksgiving holidays. The couples danced, ate and watched T.V. Those enjoying themselves were Ray and Jay, Beaner and G. Riggs, Bear and C. Janke, Robyingtom and S. bergstrom, L. Cowart and C. Finfrock, S. Pulliam and G. Kehoe, L. Chioma and B. Dorio, and of course Fey and his date, M. Dieming.
   Sally Maynard had a luncheon for Bunny Henricks from Coral Gables over the holidays. There was quite a crowd. Among those there were N. Dundee, L. Heizen, B. Britt, P. Mitchell, J. Wellinger, the Bibb sisters, R. J. Williams, B. Cook, S. Martina, J. Johnson, M. Threlkeld, E. Ratrie, and many more.
   Susan Chace hald a slumber party on Thansgiving night.
After the invading boys had left, those settling down to a "Long winter's nap" were S. Miller,
 

L. Schmidt, J. Jones, L. Borden, S. Gray, F. Ussery, H. Marwick, S. Sturgess, L. Ricks, S. Ne.son, J. Welch, and lots of others, too.
   Paula Nagel had a surprise birthday party for Judy Teague not long ago. Some ofthose who went were, S. Miller, S. Chace, J. Reding, L. Ricks, J. Jones, L. Borden, S. Cushing, and J. Cook.
   It seems to be the season for surprise parties; Linda Schmidt had one for Linda Borden. It was a small supper party, and F. Ussery, S. Miller, J. Teague, J. Reding, S. Cash, J. Ross, J. Horvath, and B. Boone attended.
   Steve Petlitz thres a quiet get-together last Saturday night, and the gang danced and ate. Those seen dancing and having lots of fun were R. Norman and S. McLean, J. Hamilton and S. James, S. Roberts and B. Webb, and Steve and S. Martina.
   The Episcopal Church gave a hayride a few weeks ago. Due to an oversight, the trucks did not arrive, so all the gang went in cars to the Britt's camp. Some of those freezing on a very cold night were B. Blackburn and B. Bibb, B. Sutphen and B. Bibb, FiFi and B. Britt, and C. Muller and C. Musselwhite.
   The M.Y.F. expects to have a hayride and caroling on Christmas night. Some of those planning to attend are G.G. Wattles, L. gartside, C. Slayden, the Harmeling twins, B. Bean, L. McCallister, and S. Grantham.
   Caroline Slayden and Judy Duckworth are palnning a going-away party for Jean Clark in the near future. We certainly will miss this popular Junior girl. Good Luck, Jean!
