OUTSTANDING
-- UNDERCLASSMEN--

JUDY WELLINGER

This sweet bundle of joy, Judy Wellinger, found her way into the world on July 18,1942, in Omaha, Nebraska. She has lived in Winter Park for three years and came to Winter Park High School from Glenridge Junior High two years ago.
In her short history at Winter Park High, she has been in many activities and has accomplished a lot for the school. She is a member of the Campus Crusaders and the Tri-Hi-Y. She was vice president of the Tri-Hi-Y in 10th grade. She is also a member of the "W" Club.
In her sophomore year she was appointed to the position of Secretary of Welfare for the Student Council. This year she is serving a term as Secretary of Assemblies for the Council.
Also in her sophomore year she was homeroom treasurer, and this year was selected for the job of homeroom president. One of her big jobs this year is being in charge of the concession stand for the Junior Class. She also teaches Sunday School to four-year-olds.
This cute 5'1" underclassman thinks Winter Park High is a great school, and upon graduating she plans to go to college. After that, her future might be high up in the sky as an airline stewardess.
Judy always like a good joke, and lists among her pet-peeves "people who don't respect the Seniors" and "the concession stand." When asked what her motto of life was, she replied, "Just take life as it is and be happy and jolly along with it."
Plenty of spirit, a great personality and a high interest in school affairs make Judy Wellinger an outstanding underclassman of the issue.

MIKE WENNINGER

Mike Wenninger, a quiet, good-looking underclassman was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, on March 30, 1942. He came to Florida six years ago and has been in Winter Park four of those years. Mike is an alumnus of Glenridge and has been at Winter Park since 10th grade.
While at Winter Park High, he has been a member of the Hi-Y for two years and was elected treasurer of the Hi-Y in his latter year. He is also a member of the Key Club.
Last year Mike was vice president of the Sophomore Class, and this year he is treasurer of the Junior Class.
Mike, an outstanding athlete, has shown proficiency in the field of many sports. He participated in J.V. football, basketball and track for one year and played varsity football this year. He successfully lettered in these events. He now plans to go out for track.
This 5'10" Junior has maintained a "B" average and upon graduating plans to go to Ohio State. His future, he believes, is engineering.
He feels Winter Park High is a fine school but believes that the food could be improved. His pet peeve is people who always start something and don't finish it. His main interests are sports and skin diving, and his philosophy of life is "just take things easy; don't get excited."
Congratulations Mike, outstanding underclassman of this issue.
