HOW DO YOU LIKE T.E.E.?

Members of Mr. Ansley's ninth grade civics class were questioned about their reaction to the Traditional Education Experiment now in progress. Here are their answers -

STEVE VAN ORE: This system should be used everywhere to fit the educational needs of the student.
MARCIA WHITING: I think it is good and just what we need because we used to play around too much.
NANCY ANN WRENN: I don't think it is too much harder than the other method and I am learning a lot more.
FRAN USSERY: I'm enjoying it. I know I am learning more. And I expect my grades to improve.
STEVE TOOTHAKER: I believe the material is being presented better. I'm sure my grades will improve.
KATHIE WOBIE: I'm all for it. My grades have improved. I like the challenge.
JUDY WILLIAMS: It is hard to take notes in class, but it is easier to study and the tests don't seem so hard.
STUART SMITH: I like it. It is harder but I'm sure my grades will improve.
DAVID MANESS: I don't like the system but I'm sure my grades will improve.
HOW TO BE YOUNG
Let's begin, as I believe we can
With the motto, "Manners maketh man."
But this phrase we can't escape
That lack of manners maketh ape.
One fact as actual as hunger
Is that older people know more than younger.
Parents don't appreciate costumes sloppy
No matter which brand of "Brando" you copy.
They know if you go too soon, too steady
You'll join them as parents before you're ready.
Though you've grown too old for your elders to spank you
They like the sound of "please and thank you".
Ogden Nash

With Christmas just around the corner, it is time to think of the gifts you will be giving family and friends. Too often a shrunked bank account makes this time a one of frustration. But there are gifts you can make and very inexpensively, too.
