WI-PA-HI-SC dated December 12, 1958, was made available to us by George Fisher. Thanks for sharing!

T'was the night of Christ's birth
And all through the sky
The stars were all twinkling
And each asking "Why?"

Why is this new star
Among us tonight?
Why is it shining
So radiantly bright?

The angels were singing
And shepherds below
Were asking each other,
They wanted to know.

Why are they singing,
These angels tonight?
Why is that one star
Shining so bright?

"Behold," said the angels,
"We bring you good cheer,
A Savior is born
and is found very near."

And three wise men,
Who were traveling that night
Saw, too, this star
With its bright shining light.

The little star led them
To the city of gold
Or at least to the place
Of His birth, so we're told.

No more were they asking
The shepherds and stars,
Of the purpose or job
Of this bright shining star.

This little star,
Unknown to all,
Led the wise men and shepherds
To the Babe in the stall.

The wise men brought gifts,
The angels did sing
But all were thinking
Of Herod the King.

The wise men knew
Of King Herod's plan
So each went off
To a far distant land.

Remember the Baby
Born in a stall
As Santa brings presents
To one and all.

When you get your presents
Don't think how they're marked
But think of the thoughts that
Come from the heart.
