Jim Harmeling had to write an essay for Dr. Bender on why he should be in his seat when the bell rings. Little did Jim know that his essay would be published, and his writing would become famous. April Fool! (No corrections have been made!* | |||||

I should be in my sit when the bell rings because my not being in said sit causes class time to be taken. If this time where only 10 seconds, O.K., but this time multiplied by 29 students, a teacher, and two other whats-their-names, means 5-1/2 minutes waster per day, over one school year this would be 180 times 5-1/2 minutes of 990 minutes or almost 17 hours teachers get paid about $3.00 an hour at this rate my bill would be $54.00. I an not going to insist on payment of this bill as the school budget does not provide for this expense at the present time but soon the schools will become progressive and pay the students for time spent as this idea is hardly likely I will reverse my field and pledge allegiance to the Doctor (Bender) that this guy will not be writing for a while. APOLOGY Due to a misunderstanding on this reporter's part, a mistake was made in the last edition of the Wi-Pa-Hi-Sc. It was stated that the decorations for the Hi-Y-an Hop were very unusual and contributed to making the dance a great success. This was true, but the decorations were done by members of our DCT Cub. So for this mistake, the Society Editor of your school newspaper apologizes. |
