Now we have our Student Council organized. The newly elected president is Lois Rayl who in our last assembly was sworn into office by Mr. Stockard. In turn, she swore into office our new vice-president, Judy Duckworth; secretary, Tery Hadley; and treasurer, Danny Carr. We are very happy to have these people represent our school.

From each of our homerooms we have a representative and an alternate who go to the Student Council meetings and report the happenings to their homerooms.

The council had its first meeting in November.

All the luck in the world to our Student Government.

Mr. Rowe is sponsoring the Safety Patrol Council at Glenridge Junior High School. Captain Bill Hunkapiller did a fine job in assigning the patrol to the various stations. Lieutenants Mike Stearman and Ed Hightower are assisting CaptainHunkapiller in supervising the patrol.

It seems that skirts and sweaters are the most popular costumes right now for girls. A few of the girls wearing nappy skirts and sweaters are Judy Duckworth, Carla Wageman, Lynda Bussells, and Barbara Lallou.

About a week ago, green hair appeared in the seventh grade. Two of these oddities were Robin McKenzie andPaula Nagel.

The boys are wearing their usual attire with bright socks and colorful shirts.

She was born a Florida Cracker. She has taught Business Education and English for three years. At Glenridge, she teaches 7th Grade Math and General Business Training. She taught at Edgewater High School inOrlando last year.

After attending Florida State University for four years and receiving her B.S. degree she attended the University of Florida again for two years, where she obtained her M.A. degree.

Miss Shiver has lived in Winter Park for twenty years. She hasn't lived in Orlando at all.

Before she started teaching she was a secretary.

Her hobbies are reading and traveling. Her pet peeves are noisy "talkative" classes.

She has sponsored a school paper and has had a lot to do with the Gregg Writers Club.

Miss Shiver would like to travel if she did not teach. If she traveled, she would go to Europe again, probably Italy and Spain. but we want to keep her here.
