ONCE UPON A TIME...

Once Upon a Time there was a girl named SHORT FAT FANNY. She lived on BLUE BERRY HILL, and she wore a WHITE SPORT COAT every JUNE NIGHT. Everytime her DADIO would step on her BLUE SUEDE SHOES she'd get ALL SHOOK UP and would holler DON'T BE CRUEL.

Danny's best friend was DIANA, but she had another friend named TAMMY, who had a TEENAGE CRUSH on MR. LEE. Fanny didn't like him because he wore ROCKIN' SHOES. This didn't disturb MR. LEE too much. All she said was "AIN'T THAT A SHAME".

One day MR. LEE was caught stealing ice cream from a DUNGAREE DOLL. She has just cracked the ice cream from the ICE CREAM BABY. Now they're both working on the CHAIN GANG for NINETY-NINE YEARS. When they got out, they said SEE YOU LATER ALLIGATOR and boarded a BANANA BOAT for SOUTH OF THE BORDER. They were married IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ISLAND and lived happily ever after.

MIND YOUR MANNERS

Leading etiquette authorities, writers, from around the world held a forum on good manners for adults, teenagers, and children. Here are their general rules:

1. Don't be ugly; don't sprawl - sit; don't chaw - chew; don't pick, poke, pry, or scratch at yourself when with others.

2. Don't interrupt; don't break into conversations, into groups, into private thoughts, into personal matters.

3. Don't be ungrateful. Say, Thank you, mother - Than you very much - No thank you.

4. Don't be pushy. Not with your hands, your feet, your complaints, your problems, your food and your opinions.

5. Don't be self centered and stupid. Learn the rules of the game, and when in Rome do as the Romans do.

SPANISH  CLUB  ELECTS

The Spanish Club held election of officers on November 20 during the Activity Period. Mona Barnhart was elected President; Sally Llewellyn-Vice President; Judy Teague-Secretary and Paula Nagel-Treasurer.

The meeting, the minutes and all club business will be in Spanish.

HI-Y  TO  GO  CAMPING

After all the work that has been going on around Glenridge, the Hi-Y decided they needed to go on a camping trip.

The seventh, eighth, and ninth grades will go to camp Wee-Wa on December 6, 7 and 8. Many types of activities are planned, and the boys are assured of good meals as they are taking along their own chef from Glenridge.

The Hi-Y has adopted an official name. THE ROARING LIONS HI-Y.
