JOHN GURNEY: "I would wish
for world peace. Today we live
under the shadow of the hydrogen
and atomic bombs, guided missiles
and other weapons of war. If
there were world peace, there
would be no need for these weapons."
MIKE BORN: "I would want
to be able to see into my future
and into the world's future."
MIKE RITZMAN: "I would
wish to have United States and
Russia become friends so we
could stop thinking about fighting
and really enjoy Christmas."
PENNY GARAPIC: "A diswasher,
because I have to do all the
dishes around our house."
DEEDRA DICKENSON: "I would
wish for health for our family
for years to come."
APRIL MACDONALD: "I wish
I had enough money to buy every
poor family something to make
their Christmas bright."
STEVE WOLF: "I would wish
to have the Vanguard rocket
and the Satellite launched successfully."
SANDY MILLER: "I would
wish to take a world trip so
I could see all the countries
I have been studying."
SANDRA BOURQUE: "I want
two front teeth, because mine
are chipped."
PAT FIEDLER: "I want a
white Persian cat."
SHERYL LAMPE: "A boy."
Each year
Glenridge students send some
Christmas remembrance to the
patients in the Winter Park
Hospital. This year the ninth
grade Tri-Hi-Y decorated eggs
and small trees for bedside
arrangements.
Mrs. Ray Green
met with the girls on December
10 to show them how to create
the arrangements. |

I
can't wait till
Christmas
Day
It is always bright
and
gay
Everything is in a
tizzy,
Opening presents keeps
you
busy
Sue with her doll, Tom
with
his gun.
Everybody has such fun.
As you go to bed
that
night
Nothing is wrong, every-
thing's
right
You think of that
wonderful Christmas
Day
As you fall asleep and
dream
away.

Christmas
is coming, hurray, hurray!
Santa's on his way.
Christmas is coming,
Hurray, hurray!
It's almost Christmas
Day!
With
lots of joy and carols
to sing.
And toys and presents
and everything.
Christmas is coming,
hurray, hurray!
It's almost Christmas
Day!

When I think of Christmas
I think of angels singing
with praise
All through the wonderful
Christmas Days.
When
I think of Christmas
I think of joy,
Then I think of that
Wonderful Savior Boy.
When
I think of Christmas
I think of love.
Then I think of that
Happiness from above.

JULIE
MAYER: "It means a holiday
from school, presents, but most
of all the celebration of Christ's
birth."
JACKIE BILLINGHAM: "Vacation
from school and all my loving
teachers."
MRS. BRIDGES: "Two weeks
of being home enjoying the spirit
of Christmas with my family."
SHARON SINDAD: "The time
of year when everyone is gay.
A time of family get togethers."
JOHN GURNEY: "It means
hustle and bustle of shopping.
People with red noses and pink
ears struggling with big packages.
It means a time of happiness
and love, when people forget
hatred and fighting. It means
singing, and excitement."
LINDA SCHAUER: "I think
of Christmas parade, Santa Clause,
carols, and happy faces. I think
of what Christmas really means
- the birth of Christ. I think
of the beautiful decorations
that go with Christmas." |

We
listen quietly and obey
To hear what happened on that
day.
The shepherds woke to a strange
sight
The wise men traveled through
the night,
Led by a star to the stable
door
Our Baby Jesus to adore. |
