     A Roman style banquet will be given by the Latin Club March 29, from 6:30 till 10:30 P.M. at Glenridge. Only members of the Latin Club are invited.
     The menu will include turkey, deviled eggs, salad and vegetables, and beverages. All food will be served Roman style.
     Thos attending will wear colorful Roman costumes. Sponsors are Mrs. Stinson and Mr. Stone.

     Happy Ison, a disk jockey for WKIS, interviewed Mr. Ansley and several students of his ninth grade civics class about their T.E.E. The students gave their opinions of the experiment and a short summary of what they have been doing for the past nine weeks. The interview will be broadcast March 19 or 20 over a nationwide broadcast from WKIS at 7:45 P.M.

     Phillip Clair Jennings made his appearance on this bewildering planet on March 5.
     Phillip gives indication of being a most considerate fellow. His arrival time was scheduled the 14 of March. He pushed the date ahead so his father, Glenridge's Band Director, could go to districk with an easy mind.
     Welcome, Phillip! Superior rating to you!

 

  There was a flurry of romance in the air of Glenridge for the whole week before Miss Deborah Mosher married Joe Hobbs, U of F's top basketball star on March 7.
  The students were determined to find out when and where the ceremony was to be held, and to give the couple a "send-off".
  The students arrived at the right location, but Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs escaped for their honeymoon via Lake Maitland.


  Glenridge's Band walked away with top awards during the recent "district" held March 14.
  The band won "firsts" in all combined efforts.
  Among the individuals and combinations winning first awards were:
 Twirling: Charlotte McKim and Mary Ann Brown.
 Brass Emsemble: Steve Van Ore, David Farr, Linda Merhill, Heather Marwick, Dave Heckendorn, and David Eckardt.
 Clarinet Trio: John Bordley, Randy Mohn, Sharon May
 Clarinet Quartet: Joe Smith, Bud Kirk, Roy Savelle, Mike Kelly.
 Cornet Trio: Barry Milstead, Chuck Libby, Micky Goldman.
 Saxaphone Quartet: Charlotte McKim, Richard Volavka, Bob Berry, John Bordley.
 Flute Trio: Sharon Carter, Diann Loupee, Barbara Ginkle.
 Flute Trio: Sharon Carter, Diann  Loupee, and Carol Skelton.

  Basketball letter men received their awards at a short assembly March 5. Homeroom intramural champions and Glenridge service men also received awards.
  Coach Dykes presented intramural awards to the championship valleyball teams in each grade. 7-6 took top honors in the seventh grade. 8-6 were winners in the eighth and 9-6 let the pack in the ninth grade.
  John Cash, Steve VanOre, Lee Van Wormer, Fred Hale, Karen Rothrock, Glen Mason and Greg Holland received service awards for service to the teams and Glenridge.
  The Junior Varsity basketball letters were presented to the undefeated team by Coach Mosher. Receiving letters were Gary Houmes, Bill Collier, Mike Born, Clark Lambert, Corky Higgins, Bill Dick, Bob Mobley, Conley McEwen, Jay Gustafson, Don Kirkham and Manager John Cox.
  Coach Vickers presented the awards to the country champions, Glenridge's varsity team. Frank Ferguson, Steve Toothaker, Richard Giannini, Dewey Ramsby, Al Fesus, Steve Cooke, Bobby Danforth, Rusty Doolittle, Wayne Moore, Terry Gartside and Manager Tom Massebeau.
  The County Championship trophies are on exhibition in the Front Office.
