FRANK
FERGUSON |
Sixteen
years ago, this popular Sophomore
boy, Frank Ferguson, was born in Huntsville,
Alabama in November, 1942. Twelve
years later he moved to Winter Park
where he has spent the past 4-1/2
years building a good reputation for
himself. He went to Glenridge from
the seventh to ninth grades and has
recently come to Winter Park High
this year.
At Glenridge, Frank
was President of the Student Council,
a member of the "G" Club,
a member of the Hi-Y, and a member
of the Glenridge National Honor Society.
Frank was also very
active in the field of sports. He
participated in football and basketball
in the 8th and 9th grades, and track
in the 9th. He successfully lettered
in all these activities.
This year at Winter
Park High he has played on the J.V.
football team, has been accepted into
the Hi-Y, and plans to go out for
basketball and track. Besides being
very active, he has managed to keep
up with his studies, holding down
a "B" average.
Upon graduating
from Winter Park he plans to go to
college and might become a doctor.
This 6'2-1/2"
underclassman likes everything about
Winter Park High except the people
who get in the way when he goes to
lunch.
Frank's hobby is
sports and he feels that the Golden
Rule is the best motto of life that
you can have. We are sure that Frank
has an enjoyable time ahead of him
in his years at Winter Park High.
From this brief
sketch we can see that Frank Ferguson
has well earned the honor of being
one of the outstanding underclassmen
of this issue. |

JEAN
JONES |
This
lovely little southern belle, Jeanny
Jones, whose real name is Regina,
was brought into the world on February
26, 1942 in Concord, North Carolina.
Two years ago she moved to Winter
Park where she attended Glenridge
Junior High in the 8th and 9th grades.
This being her first year at Winter
Park High, she expects to have a grand
time.
At Glenridge she
was President of her homeroom in the
9th grade, a member of the Tri-Hi-Y,
and was voted Queen of the Glenridge
Festival. She was also a second place
winner of the Glenridge Talent Show,
and has appeared on television at
various times.
This year at Winter
Park High she is a member of the Thespians,
the Pep Club, the Tri-Hi-Y, and participated
in the Junior Class Stunt Night.
About two months
ago this cute package of vivaciousness
had the distinguished honor of being
selected as an attendant in the 1958
HOmecoming Court. When asked how she
felt she said that she was really
thrilled and surprised over being
chosen. She thought the whole procedure
was run extremely well, but she never
dreamed she would be standing with
the other attendants.
Jean, being a small
town girl of 16, likes the big cities
but loves everything about Winter
Park and Winter Park High.
Upon graduating
from high school, she plans to go
to F.S.U. and major in dress designing.
She also makes and designs all of
her own clothes.
Just from these
few notes you can see that we couldn't
do without this outstanding underclassman. |
