Football
Intramurals
It has been the tradition of
Glenridge to promote intra-school rivalry between homeroom sections.
When intramurals first started in 1955-56, basketball was the only
sport played. In 1957, football was added to the schedule. In 1958,
volleyball competition began.
The football intra-murals began April
17. It will complete the cycle of sports and will be the first term
in which three sports were offered.

The
1958 Major League baseball season got under way April 15. Now
fans will have their noses glued to the TV set.
With
the moving of the New York Giants to San Francisco and the Brooklyn
Dodgers to Los Angeles the National League has everyone confused
and Manhattan and Brooklyn unhappy.
The
Milwaukee Braves are the champions of the world. They are being
thought of as "the new Yankees" and everyone expects
them to win again in '58.
Ted

Ted, 39 years old, led the American League batting average last
year with .388.
The
Rollins College baseball team has piled up a record of 10 wins
and 12 losses in Florida college play. The tars do better in golf.
Their team is undefeated in 16 matches.
Local
sports fans were able to see the Orlando Flyers baseball team
play their first game of the spring training when they met with
Panama City April 8.
