THE KILT
November 2, 1956

Hi! I missed you last issue; forgot to get my copy in. (40 slaps with a wet noodle, Scottie!)

Nothing seems more important than cheers for our fabulous football team. And some extra bouquets for our cheerleaders, who keep us rooting with such ferver at the games.

JUNIOR TRI-HI-Y EIGHTH GRADE

The Junior Tri-Hi-Y had its first official meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 23. It was held in Room 10. Mrs. Lacey and Miss Freund are the sponsors for this year.

At the meeting all new members were accepted. We decided upon the Tri-Hi-Y Constitution and started on our first project. The project is to mount cartoons on cards to be put on patient's trays in the hospital.

The president of Tri-Hi-Y is Linda Schmidt; Vice President, Mona Barnhart; Secretary, Susan Chace; and Treasurer, Becky Thornton.

Tri-Hi-Y for Eighth Graders will meet every other Tuesday, from 7:00-8:30 P.M. in Room 10.

8-6's officers are: Sharon White, President; Johnny Cash, Vice President; Sandra Wilson, Secretary-Treasurer.

8-7 elected Max Morris President; Karen Swenk, Vice-President; and Karen Rothrock is Secretary-Treasurer. Their Student Council Representative is Dewey Ramsby.

9-2 is selling those cute plaid tams. Barbara Ellis' mother is makingthem on order. Bill Mosher is President of this class, with Steve King his Vice President.

A lot of Glenridgers were at the Winter Park - Boone Game. Guess who yelled the loudest for the Wildcats? You betcha, the lads and lassies from Glenridge. Bet they're glad to have our support.

Seems as if the social life is slightly thwarted by the coach's very rigid training rules. It's hard to take some times, but as we count up our five victories we have to admit our sacrifices are paying off.  'Course, the Cotillion is on the approved list so we expect to see lots of our boys there. And with the Student Council Sock Hop coming up life will take on a gayer tone.

By the time this issue is out the ninth grade will have had it. Testing, I mean. I hear we'll be sweating them out for three days. Who knows THAT much?
