Glenridge scored its fourth consecutive victory by beating Lakeview 6-0 at Harper Shepherd Field the night of Oct. 18. This was the fourth game in which the opposing team was unable to score on Glenridge.

Our biggest rival, Howard, hasn't been beaten either, but they were scored on by Apopka.

We played one of our best games defensively, but when you gain 225 yards on the ground and only score one TD that's not very good.

Mike Mosher played his usual great game both offensively and defensively. Mike Stearman gained the most yards and played an excellent game.

Jim Thompson led the defensive team with 8 tackles and other boys were right behind him with 6 and 7 and some with 4 and 5.

We have had very good spirit at all games. Let's keep it up.

Coach Mosher requests that after the game the fans stand at attention while the Alma Mater is being played, and not rush out onto the field.

WHAT'S THE GOOD WORD?

BEAT OCOEE!

On Friday, October 26, Glenridge's first ninth grade elected officers to lead them for the rest of this year.

Apparently feeling that MOSHER and THOMPSON make fine captains of any team, the students elected THE MIGHTY MIKE, and JIM THE JET as their president and vice president. JAY LANDERS was voted secretary, and JUDY DUCKWORTH kept the government from being "stag" by becoming treasurer.

It's a great slate of officers. We expect them to make Glenridge history.

For the fifth consecutive game the Lions succeeded in keeping their opponents scoreless, with 19-0 victory. Lady Luck gave Glenridge the toss and they defended the north goal.

Mike Wenninger made the first touchdown after receiving a pass from Mike Mosher on the 20. The conversion was unsuccessful.

In the second quarter Mike Mosher concluded a 43 yard march to make a second TD. The kick by Mike Mosher was good.

After a gain of 30 yards during the third quarter Mosher again went over for a TD.

The Lions made 14 first downs, Apopka made only one. One of the outstanding plays was in the fourth quarter when it was the Lion's ball on Apopka's 5 yard line. It was first and fifty to go. Glenridge got from the Apopka 5 to the Lion's 25 in six plays.

Our Lions made 295 yards on rushing yardage an 47 yards on passing. Apopka did not complete any passes and Glenridge intercepted two of Apopka's.

The Lions recovered three fumbles and made no punts. Thompson made 12 tackles and Mike Mosher made 11.
