Happiest
memory:
Compared to
what today's kids face, my years at WPHS seem incredibly
simple and carefree. We were lucky.
Funniest/weirdest coincidence: Running
into Jack Billingham in Houston when I was in medical
school and he was pitching for the Reds
Bio: BA, BS, MS in electrical engineering, Rice University.
Worked as an engineer in Silicon Valley, CA, for a few
years and then got fed up with military-industrial complex
and decided to go back to Houston and go to medical school.
Graduated from Baylor college of Medicine in 1974 and
was divorced from first wife. Finished radiology residency
in Seattle 1978-82 and then moved to Eureka, CA. I've
been here since 1982. We live on thirty-three acres of
pastures and redwood forest and have had deer, elk, bears,
bobcats, mountain lions, porcupine, foxes, owls, hawks,
and raccoons on our land. I feel very fortunate to live
in such a special place.
Future plans and goals:
Retire in a few years and become a full-time environmentalist.
Source: 30th Reunion 1991 |
Greg
did not attend the 50th class reunion. However he did
submit for our records a completed 50th reunion questionnaire.
Greg told us he has three children and four grandchildren.
His favorite teacher is listed as Mrs. Blickman because
she "...broadened my horizons in ways that I didn't
appreciate until years later. She also brought me down
to earth with a "D" on my report card."
(If we are reading this entry correctly...)
Greg wrote that his most memorable prank or practical
joke was when he "...streaked across the practice
field in a race with Steve King." He added that
"...I am consistently recognized as the 'most fun
radiologist to work with" at our hospital."
