Potter, Dale . . . coming from Warren, Pennsylvania, this two-eared, one-nosed, one-mouthed fellow is very taken up in the common hobby of underwater basketweaving. Dale dislikes school, homework, sped limits, democrates and Communists. He's like to be shipwrecked ith any good-looking girl. His most memorable event at WPHS was the last day of school. Dale plans to get married, work, and go to college but he doesn't say in what order.

Introducing...Barbara Jean Powelson
     Barbara plans to attend Orlando Junior College this fall where she will take a secretarial course. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Powelson, 300 Fountain Lane. Barbara will graduate from Winter Park High School next week. Her hobbies are skating, swimming and dancing. At school Barbara was a member of Tri-Hi-Y, Spanish and Pep clubs.
Powelson, Barbara . . . Staten Island, NY is the birthplace of this brown-haired, brown-eyed gal. Barb likes to swim, skate, and bowl; and afterwards, to freshen up with a hamburger or pizza and a Coke. She'd LOVE to be shipwrecked with Dean Ritala. Graduation was Barbara's most memorable day at WPHS. She plans to go to OJC, and follow up with marriage. (Wonder who's the lucky fella...!)

Introducing...George Duvall Powers
     George is a member of the graduating class of 1961 at Winter Park High School. He is the son of Mrs. Irene Powers, 1580 Palm Avenue. Goerge is a member of D.C.T. Club and plans to follow a career in the business world. His hobbies are cars and small motors.
Powers, George...A "Philly" by birth, George loves baseball, but hates snobs. He likes pizza and drinks. Claudia Anderson is first on George's list of possibles... for that desert island. He remembers most of all his first year at WPHS. George practices the old philosophy, "Live and let live". He secretly wants to be successful. He can often be heard saying, "What is it? Your BIRTHDAY?"

Introducing...Dennis Allan Rajala
     Dennis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rajala, Maitland and a member of the 1961 graduating class at Winter Park High School. He is a member of Science and French clubs, Backstage technicians, Campus Crusaders and a chemistry assistant. His hobbies are flying and photography. Dennis hopes to study Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
Rajala, Dennis A . . . born March 12 in Washington, D.C. He likes baseball, football, flying and photography. Pet peeves are Republicans, homework and Winter Park's multitude of slow drivers. Favorite food . . . french fries and hamburgers along with 7-Up. Dennis' philosophy of life is "Live today; tomorrow will take care of itself." Ideal situation?!!!? After graduation Dennis wants to attend Georgia Tech or Texas A&M.

     Dewey is the son of Verbie Ramsby, 555 Huntington Avenue and a Letterman at Winter Park High School. He has received letters for football, baseball and basketball; is a member of Hi-Y and Varsity Club. Dewey was co-captain of this year's winning baseball team. He will attend Piedmont College this fall but has not decided just what course of study he will follow.
Ramsby, Dewey . . . "Do-Do" . . . 18, born February 25th in Battle Creek, Michigan. Dewey likes baseball, basketball, sports, and girls. He dislikes gossiping girls. His favorite food is steak. Secret ambition is to play pro-baseball. Ideal situation . . . being alone somewhere with a beautiful girl.

Ramsdell, Andrew Leonard, 17, was born in Orlando, FL August 11th. Andy has blue eyes, brown hair, and stands 5'10" tall to his 150 pounds. His favorite sports are track, football, basketball, and swimming. His pet peeve is girls with hair like boys. (How about vice-versa?) Secret ambition... to find the perfect girl. Ideal situation...      Carolyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Callahan, 507 Carrell Drive. She will major in Chemistry at University of Florida following her graduation from Winter Park High. Carolyn was a member of Tri-Hi-Y, Student Council, French Club, Science Club, Chemistry Assistant and the Prom Committee. She enjoys swimming and sewing.

     Stephanie will graduate from Winter Park High with the class of 1961. She plans to major in art at Syracuse University next fall. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barton Read, 121 E. Kings Way, Stephanie was a member of GAA, Tri-Hi-Y, Spanish and French clubs. Her hobbies are sketching and reading.
Read, Stephanie . . . "Stephy" . . . was born August 31st in Concord, Massachusetts. She likes sketching, reading and flirting. Her favorite drink is a martini. The person she would like to be ship wrecked with on a tropical isle could be either Roy Bickford or Sheridan Ellis-Brown. Secret ambition is to marry a millionaire. Favorite expression . . . "Get 'em, Cats!!"

Happiest memory: My friends.
Funniest/weirdest coincidence: Went to my childhood home in Bahamas this summer for first time in twenty-five years. My first boyfriend who had not
returned in twenty-six years also arrived there. There had never been any contact between us in all those years and more!
Future plans and goals: Living life day by day and loving it.

Stephanie traveled 300 miles round trip to attend the 50th class reunion. She has 5 children and 10 grandchildren. She lists her hobbies as reading and waking. Her favorite vacation spot is the Bahamas. When asked what is left on her bucket list, Stephanie wrote "travel by train - whatever else appeals to me on life's journey." Her favorite WPHS memory is Art Class.

Introducing...Juli Lois Reams
     The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Reams, 451 Huntington Ave., Juli is a member of the class of '61 at Winter Park High School. She would like to be a legal secretary and will begin her studies at Orlando Junior College. Band, Majorette, Spanish Club and homeroom secretary are Juli's high school activities. Her hobbies are twirling, swimming and badminton.
Reams, Juli, 18, was born March 1 in Orlando. She likes badmitton, horseback riding and pizza. Most memorable event at WPHS . . . "when I fell down the stairs" . . . philosophy of life is to live day by day . . . favorite expression is "Too Bad!" Ideal situation . . . being the only girl at a mixed party. After graduation Juli plans to go to FSU for 4 years and take a legal secretarial course. Additional comments . . . "I have really enjoyed my 3 years here at Winter Park."

Happiest memory: Returning to graduate with my friends after a one and
one-half year stay in Hawaii (which wasn't exactly a hardship tour)

Bio: I attended Temple University School of Dental Hygiene. Married Rich Rogers of Orlando in 1966, and we had two children. Rich was an Air Force pilot until his death in 1977 in an A-10 accident. I then moved to Fort Walton Beach with my two children. In 1982, I married David Stocker, retired Air Force. David graduated from the Citadel, SC. After our marriage, we had tours in Sumter, SC, Del Rio, TX, Alexandria, LA, Vietnam (I stayed in Winter Park), and retired here after a tour in England, and we plan to stay in Fort Walton Beach!
Future plans and goals: Travel, enjoy my grandchildren
