Deceased
Introducing...Linda Jeanne Schmidt
Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Schmidt, Maitland. She is a member of National Honor Society, President of Thespians and a cheerleader. Her hobbies are swimming and sewing. Linda will begin her nursing studies at University of Florida following her graduation with the class of 1961 from Winter Park High School.
Happiest memory: Cheerleading at football and basketball games
Funniest/weirdest coincidence: Who thought up these questions? My favorites are running into old friends in strange places, e.g., 1976, Judy Duckworth at a campsite in Flagstaff, AZ. Most recently, informing Clare Martin and Rusty and Sandy Doolittle they were next door neighbors before they realized it!

Present work and/or activities: Don Saunders Realtor, Inc.

Bio: University of Florida 1961-62, Rollins College 1962-64, Duke University School of Medical Technology 1964-65. BS, Med Tech, Rollins College. I married Richard Rhodes (WPHS '59) after working as a medical technologist in Gainesville and Tampa. Immediately after marrying, I taught biology at WPHS for a semester and then gave birth in quick succession to three wonderful children. For the next fifteen years, I did community volunteer work and became interested in art. After publishing and marketing several lithographs and taking some art history classes, I opened Linda Rhodes Gallery on Park Avenue in 1984. After a successful year, I retired until 1987 when I began selling real estate. Highlights for us have been traveling to Istanbul via the Greek Islands and Dalmatian Islands and sailing our sailboat throughout the Caribbean.
Future plans and goals: Sail to Europe or perhaps all the way around - will probably stay home and rock grandbabies. It's still fun to dream!
