Hey
Guys! I appreciate your faithfulness in keeping
this web site current. It's good to look through
the site and refresh some good memories.
An update on my life: I
was married to my first wife (Pat George) for 40 years.
(I am still married to my first wife) We have two sons
and a daughter and three grandchildren. (We should have
had the grandkids first, they are so much fun!). We live
in Ormond Beach, Fl and all of the children and grandkids
live near us. The Lord had blessed us more than we deserve.
Our passions are: our faith, our kids, our grandkids,
snow skiing, scuba diving, and for me, unwinding on my
tractor. I am in the investment business and don't plan
to retire anytime soon.
I would love to hear from
some of you. Tom Massebeau |

Brief
Bio: (dated
7/2/03) After leaving WPHS, I graduated from FSU in
1965 with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught school
in the Orlando area for 3 years. In 1967 I met and married
my husband, Lynn Austin. Lynn is an avid Oklahoma Sooner

moved to Dallas in 1968 and 30+ years later we are still

While raising two children, I continued to teach off and
on during their growing up years. Thankfully they are
now grown, educated, gainfully employed, and happily married
AND I AM RETIRED! Both our daughter
and her family, and our son and his wife live here in
Dallas. We have a two year old granddaughter who is the
light of our lives! We love grandparenting and traveling

- Updated Bio:
I graduated from The Citadel with a BS in Business Admin
and joined IBM in Charleston, SC, the Georgia Air National
Guard in Savannah, GA and married our classmate and my
sole-mate Linda Merhill. I stayed with IBM for 13 years
working out of the Savannah, Ga and Columbia, SC branch
offices. During that time Linda and I had two children,
Scott and Frances who were born in Charleston. We moved
to North Augusta, SC in 1974 where we stayed until I left
IBM to go to Price Waterhouse as the National Director
of Healthcare Management Services. Price Waterhouse moved
us to Los Angeles, CA where we bought a house in Thousand
Oaks. We lived in Thousand Oaks for the next 14 years
and saw the kids graduate from high school and college.
During that time I left Price Waterhouse to become a VP
with McDonnell Douglas Health Systems, and then BRC Healthcare.
BRC was sold and I started my own healthcare consulting
services business after being Sr. VP of Technology for
Health Net Dental and Vision.
Linda
died of ovarian cancer in November of 1995 after a courageous
18 month battle. Over 350 people attended her memorial
service. She loved tennis, watching sports, her children,
good wine, going to Buffett concerts and life which she
lived to the fullest. She had a very successful teaching
career and where she helped to modify the science curriculum
for the State of California. We had 30 years of marriage
and Linda left many friends and loved ones who think of
her every day.
Since Linda’s passing
I have tried to help others who have lost their spouses.
Others helped me get through the grieving process and
I feel an obligation to help others in the same situation
to understand what they are feeling and going through.
I remarried four years
ago. My wife Eileen is wonderful and my kids love her.
I met Eileen while working in Chicago after Linda died.
I have four grandchildren, three girls and one boy and
Eileen has on grandchild, a boy. We have a 17 year old,
Matt, at home, Eileen’s son from a previous marriage
who is a great kid and going though high school where
he is a Thespian.
In January 2006 we moved
to Oxnard, CA to be nearer to Eileen’s place of
work, Wellpoint. We purchased a new home that is about
1.5 miles from the beach and five minutes from two different
harbors. The weather is very Mediterranean and seldom
goes above 85. We love the cooler weather and laid back
life style near the beach. Give us a call and come and
see us if you are in California. Some of the best wineries
in the country are just up the road from us. |
