Hi, First
I want to thank you so much for all your information.
I was so saddened to know so many of the wonderful people
that attended WP have passed on. It has left a void in
me, maybe just out of shock. I have moved back to Cleveland,
Ohio. We lived many years in Cincinnati. I'll give you
alittle run-down on my life but the Picture well, I don't
have many of myself but I'll find one. My first husband
Dave and I moved to Northern Kentucky about a year after
I graduated, we were there about a year before moving
to Northern Cincinnati. We have two children. A daughter
name Gina who lives in Tampa with her family and three
boys, one is three and the other two are under one. My
husband and I divorced after 19 years of marriage and
I went to work being a waitress in a steak house, sometimes
I was working two and three jobs to stay afloat. Anyway
my son and his two teenage boys live in Cincinnati. My
son works for the secret service, so he is gone alot.
After my present husband and I married we moved to Florida
and stayed there for ten years. We have been living in
Ohio again for the past four years. I call it the northern
territory. In 1982 I accepted Christ as my savior and
have been serving him ever since. I take signing - not
very good at it but its a slow procedure, especially when
you don't keep up with it. Thanks so much for your help.
Love, Joan |

realized we were lost since my name has been in the Orlando
phone book for the last 42 years and from 1967 to 1995
we had the same phone number. In 1993 moved to Sanford,
on the St. Johns River. Opened a boat dealership here. |

In
a letter dated April 29, 2002, Sharon Carter said in part:
"I've been married
three times . . . the first and third fellows died and
the one in the middle should have. I raised four kids
and helped raise two nieces, three foster sons and two
stepsons, all of which only three are still speaking to
me. I've lost count of the number of grandsons but raised
one until he was three and am helping with two others
who are teenagers. (I find ear plugs are much cheaper
than valium when raising children.)
For about 25 years I worked
as an editor at small town papers mostly in Arkansas which,
as everyone knows, is the sparkling jewel in the continental
United States. Finally wound up with asthma from all the
hours spent in unventilated photo labs and have retired.
Now I sort of run a food bank/used clothing shop for the
local ministerial alliance. At 59 I'm the youngster in
the crowd so, as you can imagine, things get done -- but
very slowly.
God bless everybody! Sharon
. . . . " |

She has two children and three grandchildren. Favorite
WPHS teacher is listed as Mrs. Blickman because "...her
high standards in both my junior and senior English
classes laid the foundation for my success at Rollins
and University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill as well
as teaching high school English (which I still do in
Atlanta)". Susan lists her hobbies as taking care
of her three precious grandchildren (2,4,6), photography

time to take! Favorite WPHS memories consist of the
lifelong friendships she made there. They begin with
Carol Cubbedge who welcomed her in Ms. Tauscher's history
class (Susan had transferred from Howard and knew no
one) and Carol's warm smile and friendship made a frightening
day a happy one. We have remained friends throughout
these 53 years. How could that much time have passed
so quickly?
